About Kellett Construction Company

Kellett Construction Company’s active principals are CEO Dave Kellett Sr., and Tom Kellett, President, a father – son team.  Dave, a graduate civil engineer from the University of Detroit with over 45 years of residential construction experience, formed KCC back in 1978 to focus on the growing Oakland County custom home building / remodeling market.  Tom, with construction field experience during the summers off from high school (University of Detroit HS) and college (Michigan State University), joined the firm in 1983.

KCC, like the custom residential building industry, has grown from those early days, employing state of the art technologies, improved construction techniques and materials, and invaluable experience of ‘what works’ in the many facets of fine home building and remodeling. The company’s staff continuously explores new opportunities for better building techniques, improved products, and energy efficiency.

Kellett Construction Company’s experience and reputation has earned the company the southeastern Home Builders Association (HBA) BUILDER OF THE YEAR Award, and REMODELOR OF THE YEAR Award.  In addition, Dave Sr. served as President of HBA, presiding over 2000+ local building industry members.

In November of 2004, Dave Sr. was honored by induction into the Professional Master Builder’s HALL OF FAME for his leadership and support of the housing industry and HBA.

Kellett Construction Company hires what many consider the most talented work force in the area.  Kellett’s field-experienced project managers, carpenters and support staff, working with the regions finest subcontractors and suppliers, have been the foundation of the company’s reputation and success.  Accordingly, KCC is equipped to handle residential projects of all scopes and sizes, from larger custom homes to smaller interior renovation projects.
